At Rotherham Cancer Care Centre, we know how a cancer diagnosis can affect everything in your life.
We believe no one should face cancer alone.
People affected by cancer have individual needs that cannot always be fully addressed by their health care providers and social networks. We offer a place for people to go to talk, relax and someone to help them deal with the way cancer has affected them and their life.
We provide emotional and physical support through assessment, counselling and complementary therapies, to help people feel more in control, more confident and more able to cope.
People have the chance to talk in confidence and to have a programme of therapy to help them face the impact of a cancer diagnosis. People may also need to regain control of their situation to improve their quality of life, but do not know where to turn for help.
Rotherham Cancer Care Centre can offer this help both to those who have received a diagnosis of cancer and also for their main carer. We will see people at any stage of illness or if they have ongoing concerns that are unresolved, even if this is many years later.
The service is free to anyone who needs our support. Carers are welcome even if the patient is not attending the Centre.
Your first visit to the Centre will be to meet with a dedicated professional, your assessor, who will listen to your concerns and help you make sense of your thoughts. Together, you will look at how we might best support you.
